The making process

Producing ceramic artifacts can be a very long and time consuming process, but the effort is generously rewarded, especially when the result exceeds my hopes and expectations. Pottery has this unique capacity to astonish me each time I open the kiln, as clays, glazes, engobes ad lusters blend differently in a variety of colours and effects. That is why producing and creating with ceramic is a constant work of research and experimentation before getting the perfect result.

By the time the design and the decoration is finished, each piece will have passed though my hands between six and ten times in different moments of its creation.

Depending on the decoration items can be fired two or three times.

Small imperfections make the pieces unique and are a proof of their handmade nature.
